    Questions

    Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, ask Victoria in the chat.

    What exactly do I receive?
A written conclusion in PDF within 48 hours. It lists every finding with its severity, the reference to the code or standard of your region, a plain-language explanation, and the items worth raising with your contractor before you sign or pay.
    Which documents can I upload?
Contractor estimates and bids, construction contracts, plans and drawings, specifications, change orders, pay applications and permit submissions. Formats: PDF, DOCX, DOC, XLSX and XLS, up to 50 MB per file.
Does MEXUM replace an architect, an engineer or the building authority?
No. MEXUM is an independent pre-check of documents. It does not replace approval by the building authority or the work of a licensed professional. Its purpose is to help you find gaps and inconsistencies early and ask better questions.
Which countries and codes are covered?
Twenty regions across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific, each reviewed against its own code framework, for example the IRC and IBC in the United States, the NBC in Canada and the Eurocodes in the European Union. Always confirm the edition in force with your local authority.
    How much does it cost?
A single check is $99. Plans for homes and renovations start at $299 and cover several reviews per project. Prices are in US dollars, paid by card through Stripe, and shown in your account before you pay. No subscription is needed.
    What happens to my documents?
They are used to prepare your review and stay in your account until you delete them. Service providers that process them are listed in the Privacy Policy.
